OZobot... Learning and Problem solving with Robots and code
This unique STEM based education program presents an innovative way to teach subjects like programming, math and science in classrooms, after-school clubs or at home. See kids become engaged and inspired when topics come alive with the help of Ozobot. Hundreds of schools across the world have adopted Ozobot into their curriculum. Students using Ozobot within these schools are learning sequential thinking, logical reasoning and coding concepts. These critical life skills enable children from all walks of life to succeed in the future digital age. Take a look at just one video highlighting Ozbot engaging possibilities.
OZOBOT Quick Look
Workshops 1-3 are a great way to introduce students to Ozobot, pick one of them depending on how much time you have. Or use the Ozobot Basic Training Lessons if you have more time.
Ozobot Workshop 1 - This workshop gives students a quick overview of how Ozobot works and introduces them to OzoCodes, the color commands that Ozobot understands. Students can use what they learned solving an example problem with OzoCodes.
Ozobot Workshop 2 - This workshop gives students an overview of how Ozobot works and introduces them to OzoCodes, the color commands that Ozobot understands. Students can use what they learned solving a maze exercise. This introduction is a bit more detailed than Workshop 1.
Ozobot Workshop 3 - This workshop is a very brief demonstration of how Ozobot works and how to program Ozobot with OzoCodes, the color commands that Ozobot understands

OZobots: Getting Started... The Basics From OZOBOT
Lesson 1: This is a great lesson to introduce students to the robot Ozobot. Students learn how Ozobot senses its environment and moves in it. They also learn how to give commands to Ozobots via OzoCodes, which is the color code language that Ozobot understands.
Lesson 2: Students learn how to control Ozobot with directional OzoCode commands. They also get familiar with using OzoCodes on a tablet. The mazes and examples in this lesson are math based and give students a very basic introduction to statistics.
Lesson 3: Students get tips and learn in detail how to use static and flash OzoCodes - both on paper and on digital screens. They are then introduced to the very beginnings of the math subjects of combinatorics and optimization. As a fun excercise, they are challenged to solve a "Traveling Salesman" maze.
Lesson 4- This lesson introduces students to the basic steps of programming. They are using the free app OzoGroove and are learning how to decompose geometric figures and translate them into moves for Ozobot. As a final challenge, students are tasked to write, debug and run a program to make Ozobot dance.
Lesson 5 - This lesson introduces students to the computer science concept or programs and functions. Using the free app OzoGroove, students are challenged to write, debug and run a program composed of several functions to make Ozobot go in a path that forms the letters OZO.

Ozoblockly: A Coding Language
OzoBlockly - This is a programing language that works with the Ozobot. In some of the older Ozobots it is an add on, but is included with most of the newer ones. It gives students power to fully control Ozobot Bit's movement and behavior. Powered by Google’s Blockly, OzoBlockly offers five modes from Novice with icon-based blocks to Master with support for many low-level functions and advanced programming concepts. It has something for everyone! Learn more from the video below and then visit the OzoBlockly Link. Also be sure to check out the Ozoblockly Basic Training Link to discover lesson to get students started.
