Online Learning
Teaching to the Heart in the Online Classroom (Chris Riley)
Balancing the brain and the heart is important in the classroom and just as important online. The ideas for making this happen are only limited by your creativity. Making sure your students know you care, to keep building that key relationship is important whether we are in the “normal” classroom, or online. Discover ways you can make this happen.
Online Learning Before Next Year: Devices (Michael Gorman)
Mike discusses two pathways for districts in regards to their student/staff devices (collect at end of school year versus keeping through the summer) and the questions districts need to consider for both. Two school technology directors then discuss how their districts are addressing these questions as well as additional questions they have identified. As a result, other educational leaders can benefit from this discussion to help improve their own plans.
PD for the Next Level of e-Learning in Your School District - Michael Gorman and Jane Gorman
In this session fine tune your eLearning skills and discover ways to make that line between the physical classroom and the online experience a bit more blurred. First, discover ways through a provided survey for all stakeholders to determine a district's parent, students, and educators needs. Next, determine the PD needed for other educators and yourself. Discover PD models and resources that can make that eLearning experience deeper as students access all levels of Blooms. You will walk away with ideas and tools you can use tomorrow.
Creating Blended and e-Learning... Where Relationships Rule - (Chris Riley)
Join Chris for another webinar from the heart. On this journey you will reflect on the idea of some of the needed ingredience for blended and e-Learning that goes beyond the technology. Explore the idea of why building both relationships and culture is important online. We practice this in the physical class and also need to be even more aware in the online environment. Take a moment to review both imporant online techniques and best practice. Putting a practice of culture and relationship building in the online classroom can make a difference in every student's learning.
